Miami Swim Week is known for its fast pace. The events, the schedules, the constant movement from one place to the next.
While I love the energy that comes with it, I also wanted to create something that felt a little different.
Something playful. Something unexpected. Something that encouraged people to slow down and simply enjoy the moment.
That idea ultimately led to our Pura Vida Miami Gelato Shop Takeover.

A Colorful Afternoon
From the beginning, the event felt like a natural extension of the Haley J. brand.
Gelato immediately brings to mind summer, vibrant colors, and a sense of joy. It felt like the perfect setting to create an experience that was relaxed, welcoming, and full of personality.
More importantly, it created space for connection.
One of my favorite things about events like this is the opportunity to spend time with our community in a way that feels personal and unhurried. There is something special about stepping away from the fast pace of the industry and simply enjoying conversation together.
That spirit shaped the entire afternoon.

The Energy of Haley J.
At Haley J., we have always encouraged women to embrace unapologetic self-expression. Inspiring women to wear color confidently, have fun with fashion, and embrace the qualities that make them unique.
Seeing that reflected throughout the event was one of my favorite parts of the day.
Women arrived in vibrant colors, expressive silhouettes, and styles that felt entirely their own. It was a beautiful reminder that fashion becomes most meaningful when it reflects the personality of the person wearing it.

The Most Meaningful Part
As much as I loved the setting, my favorite moment had nothing to do with gelato.
It was introducing Haley J. to women who were experiencing the brand for the very first time.
As a founder, there is something incredibly rewarding about connecting with someone who immediately understands your vision. When a woman sees herself reflected in what you have created, it becomes so much more than a product.
It becomes a connection. Those moments continue to inspire me every day.

Inspired by Community
When I think back on the Gelato Shop Takeover, what I remember most is the feeling.
The conversations. The laughter. The new friendships. The women who showed up exactly as themselves.
Experiences like this continue to remind me why I started Haley J. in the first place. To create something joyful, expressive, and capable of bringing people together.
That will always be the sweetest kind of inspiration.
XO, Haley J.
