I went to the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I earned my B.F.A in Fashion Design. My time there was the foundation of how I approach fashion. I don’t just design garments, I have a deep understanding of quality construction. I think deeply about how a garment fits, moves with the body, and what materials are used. Quality craftsmanship is everything to me.
After graduating, I worked for fashion houses in London and New York. This period was invaluable, offering a true look into how the fashion industry operates behind the scenes. From the logistics of global sourcing to the precision of pattern-making, I learned to distinguish between something that simply looks beautiful on the outside from true impeccable craftsmanship.
When I found out I was going to be a mom, I felt a shift. I no longer wanted to pour my creative energy into some else’s legacy, I wanted to build my own. The idea of starting my own brand shifted from a quiet thought to an undeniable mission that was impossible to ignore.
Three years ago, I committed fully to my vision. From that moment on, I have worked exclusively on building Haley J. Every decision has been intentional. Every fabric, every seam, and every detail has been meticulously chosen. Haley J. is the result of my education, experience, and my unwavering belief in expert craftsmanship.
Color has always been my inspiration and the foundation of my aesthetic. For me, thoughtful design starts with a color palette rather than a sketch. I begin my design process with color theory, allowing the hues to drive my creative process and dictate silhouette.
Quality materials are at the heart of Haley J. Our Debut Collection is made from 100% silk, with hand-sewn crystals and meticulous finishings. From exclusive Haley J. prints to custom gold hardware and zippers, every detail is a deliberate choice.
Our commitment to exclusivity is best seen in several pieces in the collection with our bespoke pleating, shaped from custom pleating molds to create a silhouette that is entirely one-of-a-kind. In addition, our silk is custom dyed to precision ensuring rich consistency and vibrant depth.
A core value of my brand is being rooted in American Craftsmanship. All apparel is made in New York City, and all footwear is made in Los Angeles. To me, supporting skilled domestic artistry matters deeply, it’s about preserving skilled local artistry and ensuring every piece is made with the highest level of integrity.
